Hi,
As y'all noticed,our server is gettin more traffic lately.This is good,but most off them dont stay long.I think its coz our cycle,types and timelimit. I suggest we repolish our server. Its also important that b4 we start a new server,that we make the one we have now almost flawless,so that theres no need for mapswitching,sore-limit change etc during game. Im thinking bout this:
DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-INF
More DM coz most of the players plays DM and this will improve our DM skillz for the scrims to.
In DM no timelimit and a scorelimit of 50. In INF 20min timelimit and no scorelimit.
For DM only stockmaps and for INF custum maps.
What do y'all think?

Hey think thats a great idea but we should have some CTF in there too, maybe 2 INF an 2 CTF xx

I think maybe we should have CTF in there also, but get rid of DEM.
So i think DM-DM-CTF-DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-CTF-DM-DM-INF would be a good idea.
In terms of mapcycle, I suggest mostly standard maps, and only a few custom maps, like it is now, but personally I would vote against jordan mirror and jordan backside definitely.
Timelimits for DM should be 15 mins with 50 scorelimit, and for CTF/INF 15 scorelimit and 20 mins timelimit.
What do others think?

Yo got suggestion aswell... so why not make it like DM-INF-CTF-DM-INF-DM-CCTF-INF-DM an i agree with ren that in DM no timelimit at all an in c(C)tf and inf timelimit Should be 20mins but no scorelimit... How about?

Im thinking bout this:
DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-cctf-DM-DM-INF-DM-DM-INF - DM DM CTF DM DM
What also will be very important is the sizes of maps. For example HK2 is fun in dm with many players, but sucks when there are only 2 players. So we will have to overthink also maps when there are few players. Ren, dunno if you have a detailed mapcircle in your head allready? If not, shall we make one togehter (as proposition, feedback will be asked)

I think if we put CTF/CCTF in the cycle,it should replace some DM types then. Just to make the cycle more balanced then.DM and CTF /CCTF are to much a like.Its just running around and killing.That gets bored after a 2 maps.INF and ELILM(forgot about ELIM)are more tactical types,wich offers some variety.
I think its important to not play INF or ELIM with a score-and a timelimit.I've seen a lot of bad losers in the game. If there's still 3 min to play and the sore is 14-7 orso,many of the players in the losing team join spec during the game(smoke,need a drink,...or whatever excuse they got)and ruins the game for the others.If theres only a timelimit,maybe it motivates them to play the whole map.
There are some good stock maps for INF,but there are better custom ones(Depot,and another one wich i dont know the name of but we used to play it.)

INF and ELIM I agree with Rens theory for 50%, about the score-/timelimit in INF and ELIM. But I think that when you only have a timelimit, and people knows this.. People will sit it out if they don't like it. But when they know there is only a scorelimit, sitting out doesn't have a point then.. It would take longer.. so, an other familiar (NLOCserver) gamer calls the spectator back in the game. Because they know if they play the map, it will cycle faster. So by setting a scorelimit and not a timelimit you might motivate a player, to motivate there teammates again.
CTF But about the Ctf/Cctf. Not every map is enjoyable to play that gametype. For example.. I hate it when Shop2 is in ctf mode.. its more a inf or dm map. But I think that's very personally. But I think everyone would agree if I say, the map needs to be parallel for a ctf game. So jor1, hk2, kam2 would do great if you asked me.
No timelimit in DM Personally I like to have timelimits in DM. Why? Because when you are in DM its very easy to hit a scorelimit, when its buzy. But when you are with 2 people in the server, you might not hit the scorelimit very easy. Especially when the opponent is new to the game. Then it can take ages, because you can't agree to play on a certain side of the map. So taking off the scorelimit doesn't give you more benefits then leaving it on. So at least put a 30min. timelimit.

Hey all as some of you have sen the server is getting alot more traffic now which is fantastic but ive noticed that when certain gamtypes an maps come on most players go to spec an some leave, i think now is the time to sort the mapcycle and gametypes, Please post thoughts!!!! thanks xx

Agree with all berthy's points and disagree with ren. Think we need to get rid of bad maps like columbia, jordan backside and depot. Raven also should b dm.

Depot is one of the only maps where you are still able to play and enjoy inf/elim with few players coz its small. DM on Raven sucks big time.The one who camps and spawnkills the most,will win that map.

DEpot should stay, that map has grown on me an i quite enjoy it now as do other players.... as for raven i dont like the map what ever the gametype is ...
